• Glass Matters

    December 18, 2014

The festive season is almost upon us and here at Lewis & Co our thoughts have turned to stylish entertaining. Aside from ‘researching’ our favourite mulled wine recipes, we’ve been hard at work sourcing some fantastic glassware to help you add a spark of contemporary style to your holiday dining area.

    Champagne considerations

For us, the traditional champagne flute ( pictured below) always wins top marks for style and function. It is traditional for a reason – the tall, slim shape is the best for preserving carbonation.

However, if you are hosting large parties and want to make a bit of a statement, then a champagne pyramid could be a good way to go and then you’d be best advised to use our beautiful champagne coupes…

    Mulling over the wine

When it comes to serving mulled wine we have some wonderful ‘olde worlde’ goblet styles this year. Decanters are a stylish and convenient way to refill your guests’ glasses and keep them merry.

If you or your guests prefer a more rounded figure for your wine, then we have found a few stunning varieties for you too….

    What about water?

Don’t forget to keep your guests hydrated – you can never go wrong with a stylish decanter or why not try some of our beautiful glass bottles? They will add a contemporary touch to any dining table.

    Floral fascination

Add a touch of warmth and colour to a festive dinner with seasonal flowers displayed in these beautiful vases crafted from recycled glass.

As always, all the products discussed here ( and many more besides ) are available to buy now in our Marylebone boutique at 54 Paddington Street, London W1U 4HU. We love to chat interiors and parties so if you’re planning any festivities why not pop by and let us help? We look forward to seeing you.
